VoiceFast is a Chrome extension that turns your voice into text on any webpage. Click the microphone, speak naturally, and your words appear wherever your cursor is — emails, docs, forms, chat, anywhere. AI-powered transcription with smart formatting, so what comes out actually reads well.

No typing. No copy-pasting from a separate app. Just talk and it's there.

Why I built this

Hey, I'm Bikal. I type a lot — emails, messages, documents, code comments — and honestly, sometimes I just don't want to type. I've tried built-in dictation tools, but they're slow, inaccurate, and the output reads like a mess of unformatted stream-of-consciousness.

I wanted something that actually understands what I mean, not just what I say. So I built VoiceFast. It uses Whisper for transcription and an LLM to clean up the output — fixing punctuation, formatting, filler words — so the text reads like you wrote it, not spoke it.

It started as a weekend project for myself. Turns out, talking is 3x faster than typing and way less exhausting. So I polished it up and put it out there. VoiceFast is built by one person, for anyone who'd rather speak than type.
